Oil on canvas · 24 × 18 in.
Big country. Snow-capped peaks over a pine valley, a stream working its way down through the rocks, and down in the grass at the treeline — two bears, one tucked against the other. You get to decide if they are playing or fighting in the meadow. I composed it wide — the valley is as much the subject as the bears. Oil on canvas.
