Most of the paintings I’ve sold never appeared on this website. They were commissions: a beloved dog, a family cottage, a stretch of coastline that means everything — each one painted for a single person and a single wall.
If there’s a subject you love, I’ll paint it for you. One of a kind, in artist-grade oils, painted the way I’d paint it for my own wall. And if you’re wondering whether I’d be fun to work with — yes, I would.

How it works
1. Tell me your idea.
Send me a message through the contact page. Describe what you’d like painted and attach a few reference photos. Lots of detail helps — but if you’re not quite sure what you want yet, that’s fine too. We’ll figure it out together.
2. We agree on size, price, and timing.
I’ll give you a firm quote based on size and an honest timeline before anything starts. A 50% deposit books your painting into my schedule. (The deposit is non-refundable — once your canvas is on my easel, it’s yours.)
3. I paint it.
I work from your photos the same way I work on every painting: premium artist-grade oil paint, sound technique, built to last. Treated right, it’ll outlive both of us.
4. You approve it, then it ships.
I’ll send you a photo of the finished painting first. When you love it, the balance is due — then it’s carefully packed, fully insured, and shipped free anywhere in Canada, with tracking and signature on delivery.

Clear, well-lit photos taken at your subject’s eye level work best. Send several — I’ll help you pick the one with the best light and expression.
Common questions
Do you work from photographs?
Yes — every commission starts from your photos. The better the photo, the better the painting, so send your best and plenty of them.
What if I don’t love the finished painting?
You’ll see a photo of it before the balance is due. I don’t ship a painting until you’re happy with it.
How long does a commission take?
Typically 4–7 weeks from deposit to delivery, depending on size and my current queue — I’ll give you a firm timeline before you commit.
Do you ship outside Canada?
I ship originals within Canada — free, insured, and tracked. Contact me for international shipping costs.
Can I commission a painting as a gift?
Absolutely — just tell me the deadline up front so we can plan around it. (One collector gifted a pet portrait to her niece for her birthday. She was, by all accounts, at a loss for words.)
