"Northern Niche"

I have spent a lifetime fishing for Northern Pike. I have caught them in various ways; lures, live bait, flies, ice fishing, jigging, trolling, and even with a hot dog (with a photograph to back that story up). The only thing left to me was to capture it in a composition... an oil painting. My memories have built this composition for your enjoyment. Adding the reflections on the lake bed was a pretty cool challenge and helped this painting become one of my favorites. I hope it becomes one of yours!
