Artist Statement:
As a self-taught oil painter based in Mississauga, Ontario, I have dedicated the past 11 years to the daily practice of my craft while exploring innovative techniques. My studio serves as a sanctuary for this ongoing artistic exploration.
My work spans a broad spectrum, including wildlife, seascapes, landscapes, equine themes, and portraiture. I am driven by the fundamental belief that art should forge a shared connection to the world, inviting viewers to experience the profound beauty I encounter.
A pivotal moment in my artistic development—the viewing of a masterful seascape—compelled me to recognize my path. This piece evoked a powerful sensory experience, allowing me to feel the essence of the Atlantic Ocean. Since that moment, I have been devoted to creating work that similarly captures and conveys a deep emotional and sensory truth to the observer.
My journey is rooted in the commitment to dig deep, challenge myself, and embrace every opportunity for artistic growth. I strive to ensure that my canvases not only capture the visual essence of my experiences but also reflect the foundational discipline and passion that fuels my creativity.

Bio:
With a successful 35-year career as a software developer, I navigated the complexities of the tech industry, earning recognition for my organizational, leadership, and delivery skills. My journey led me to an executive role where I had the privilege of leading talented teams of designers, coders, and implementers, delivering impactful solutions, and fostering innovation. While my career in technology was deeply satisfying, a persistent call to explore my artistic passion ultimately guided my path. Art has been a part of my life since childhood, a creative outlet that has always brought me joy.
Recently, I made the transformative decision to share this enthusiasm more publicly, allowing my artistic voice to flourish. This new chapter has been incredibly fulfilling, enabling me to reconnect with my creativity and express myself through painting.
