"King Of The Kawarthas" Print

One of my favorite spots of all time. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I'm not even referring to the moose. Afterall, I was in moose country. This was an extremely cold day. Once again I managed to find a wind break and was resting while watching the sun rise. I had just come up through the gully and wanted to manage my energy reserve. I sat down an enjoyed the sunshine on my face and then watched as as it lit up the gully. It was the mist in the gully that was the selling point for me though. It really contrasted the rest of the scene as it slowly dissipated. It's funny how an artist knows in the moment what will be a future project. I couldn't wait to put this composition together. Now I'd like to share the print version of the original oil painting. I hope it brightens your day and gives you some perspective of the forests in Ontario.
