"Alone"

This landscape is based on a photograph taken while waiting for moose to show up. I sat in this sheltered spot by a beaver dam for 6 hours. It was in October and the temperature had dropped substantially but I was sitting in a spot that had natural wind breaks. Combined with the sunshine, I was surprisingly comfortable and enjoyed a day of filming. The end result of the day was less fruitful from a wildlife photography opportunity but I was able to collect quite a few beautiful photos. I am very pleased with this painting and it definitely takes me back to that beautiful day each time I look at it.
